Check out some of these great resources with good information for Lowcountry fruit growers. Also, be sure to check out our forum for information contributed by Lowcountry Fruit Growers Society Members.

  • Florida's Best Fruiting Plants by Charles R. Boning - This book profiles many of the exotic and non-exotic fruits that can be grown in Florida.  Many of the fruits will not grow well outdoors in the Lowcountry, but the book will give you ideas on what you might try with frost protection.
  • How To Grow Citrus Practically Anywhere- A book for people outside the traditional "Citrus Belts" that want to grow their own Grapefruits, Oranges, Limes, Etc. A how to book on the ins and outs of growing citrus trees in containers, including fertilizing, soil mixes and of course, cold protection.
